SEVENTEEN is once again using their talent for a great cause. They’re expanding their efforts with the Korean Red Cross to provide more blood donation souvenirs and ensure a sufficient blood supply during the winter season.
On February 14, The Red Cross announced that they’re increasing the number of SEVENTEEN photo cards given to blood donors at the Seoul Southern Blood Center and other locations across the country.
The photo card giveaways will take place at 9 different blood centers, including those in central, southern, and eastern Seoul, Incheon, Jeonbuk, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Ulsan, and Jeju.
Thanks to their involvement in providing souvenirs last month, the blood supply increased by a whopping 80.6% compared to the same period last year. SEVENTEEN participated in this campaign, showing their awareness of the seriousness of the blood shortage. They willingly dedicated their time and effort to make a difference.
The national blood reserve is currently at a critical level! As of 14 days ago, it’s only enough for 4.4 days, which is below the recommended holding amount of 5 days.
The Red Cross emphasizes that blood donation is a warm and caring act that can save precious lives. They also express the hope that more young people will become interested in donating blood.
