In their 9th year since debut, they’ve reached a new milestone by setting a record for the highest number of fans attending their tour.
According to Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN had an incredible year with their fan meetings and tour. They held the domestic fan meeting ‘SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND’ in March and the Japanese fan meeting ‘SEVENTEEN 2023 Japan Fan Meeting ‘Love” in May.
Both of these events, along with their ‘LOVE’ fan meeting in May and the SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ from July to December, had a total of 23 sold-out performances.
Through the 23 performances, SEVENTEEN attracted a whopping 800,000 fans in person. By adding the 270,000 online viewers who watched the live streams, the total number of viewers reached a staggering 1 million this year alone.
According to Pledis, they mentioned that this year’s total viewership for SEVENTEEN’s performances saw a significant increase compared to last year.
Despite having fewer performances overall (34 in total), both the online and offline audiences showed a positive trend, with a rise of 200,000 viewers.
SEVENTEEN is going to make their debut appearance on NHK’s 74th Kōhaku Uta Gassen, which is Japan’s biggest music festival broadcasted by public broadcasting. This is a huge milestone for them since it’s their first time participating in Japan’s representative year-end special program.
SEVENTEEN is all set to bring their ‘SEVENTEEN Tour ‘Follow’ to Asia’ to the Philippines and Macau next year. They’ll be performing at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan on January 13-14, and then at the Olympic Sports Center Stadium in Macau on January 20-21.
