SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu takes a step back from promotional activities due to health concerns. On October 26, Pledis Entertainment broke the news that Mingyu would temporarily halt activities and not participate in the promotional schedule for the foreseeable future.
Pledis Entertainment shared the news on Weverse that Mingyu experienced a ‘crippling lower back pain’ on Thursday, October 26. Upon examination, the medical professionals advised him to ‘take time off and have his recovery process monitored’.
Since SEVENTEEN released their 11th mini album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN on October 23, he was scheduled to participate in promotional activities for the latest album.
However, Pledis has prioritized Mingyu’s health and decided to ‘exercise flexibility in his schedule throughout the promotions period’.
Why he may participate in some activities in the future, Mingyu would not participate in any SEVENTEEN activities scheduled for this week. Therefore, he would not appear at the music shows and fan sign events scheduled.
Pledis Entertainment has promised to keep fans updated about Mingyu‘s health and aid him in his recovery.
