After a long hiatus, SHINee’s Onew is slowly but surely stepping back into the limelight, announcing a fan meeting and joining forces with a new label.
Last month, he made his first public appearance in around 10 months at the 2024 Star Awards in Singapore.
Recently, the SHINee leader gave fans an update on his life, sharing a post on social media and going live on Instagram.
Fans were overjoyed to see him sporting a vibrant new hair color, having gained weight in a healthy way, and looking great.
Fans were thrilled to see Onew’s update, commenting ‘You’re still so beautiful!’, ‘Great to see you’re doing well!’, and ‘You look healthier, welcome back!’
The 34-year-old singer paused activities in June 2023 due to health issues, missing SHINee’s 8th album promotions and concerts.
Onew’s contract with SM Entertainment expired during his hiatus, causing concern among fans who were already worried about his absence.
However, it has been confirmed that SHINee’s group activities will continue under SM.
On April 3, Onew marked his return to the spotlight by announcing his signing with Griffin Entertainment, a new agency, and unveiling fresh profile photos.
In other news, he’ll meet fans at a fan meeting on June 17-18 and return as a SHINee member for the ‘SHINee World VI‘ encore concert on June 24-26.
