SHINee’s Taemin has broken his silence following recent dating rumors. Photos of him with the dancer and choreographer no:ze took the social media by storm on April 15. The two were seen hugging and holding hands, which led to romance rumors.
The photos were allegedly from December 2023, and it was later reported that their relationship had already ended. While the man’s face in the photos was covered with a scarf, netizens spotted that it was Taemin since he was wearing the same clothes as seen in member Key’s Instagram post.
His agency’s official position on the dating came in a day late, which frustrated many fans. Big Planet Made Entertainment denied rumors on April 17, stating, “They are close colleagues who have worked together.” Regarding the delayed response, the agency shared that they could not confirm due to Taemin’s continuous schedule.
On April 18, the SHINee member personally addressed the false dating rumors in a lengthy Bubble post.
Did you sleep well today?
You’ve been struggling with a lot of things lately. I feel so sorry and apologetic to my fans who love me so much..
There’s a lot of love I receive from my fans, my family, my pets, and so on.
I think all these experiences have shaped who I am, Taemin.
That’s why I get a lot of inspiration from dancing, singing, and music, and I can pass that inspiration on to others. This cycle continues naturally.
I was so upset by all the misunderstandings that came from those one-sided, plausible stories.
I thought a lot about how to tell the truth, but I realized that one word can lead to another misunderstanding and another explanation.
It’s not always the case, but a lot of people want to hear what they want to hear, not the truth..
That’s why I’ve been careful with my words since I was young.
One thing’s for sure, I hope you continue to believe in me like you have been, and I’ll be someone who repays the love and trust you’ve given me. I’m always grateful and I love you.
