Many talented Kdrama stars have joined the cast of Jisoo and Seo In Guk’s “Boyfriend on Demand”. So far, Lee Soo Hyuk, Park Seo Joon, and Seo Kang Joon are rumored to make cameos in the upcoming romantic comedy.
Another exciting casting news is coming out: Park Hae Rin, a contestant from “Single’s Inferno” Season 4, has been approached to join the cast.
On April 7, her agency, WNY, announced, “Park Hae Rin has received an offer to appear in Netflix’s new original series ‘Boyfriend on Demand’’ and is currently considering it positively.”
It is a rom-com about a webtoon producer who finds love through a virtual dating subscription service. The show combines fantasy and everyday office life. The already star-studded cast includes Seo In Guk and Jisoo, with cameos from Seo Kang Joon, and Lee Soo Hyuk. According to a Naver blog post, the drama is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix in October. The filming began last year and is expected to be completed in May.
Park Hae Rin gained attention for her resemblance to Olivia Hussey on the JTBC audition show “MIXNINE” in 2017. She has since pursued acting with her debut appearance in the movie “Tarot” (2024).
Before pursuing acting, Park Hae Rn trained as a K-pop idol and was even considered for the group WEEEKLY. However, she left the company before the final lineup was decided. In a 2020 appearance on “I Can See Your Voice 7,” she mentioned that she had lost interest in becoming an idol. The 25-year-old star is currently enrolled in a film arts program at Sejong University.
All eyes are now on her potential appearance in Netflix’s “Boyfriend on Demand” after making a strong impression in “Single’s Inferno” Season 4.
