SM Entertainment, the management company, has addressed the concerns raised by fans who are against SHINee member Minho’s participation in Japanese variety show.
On March 20, Prism Production, the company overseeing SHINee under SM Entertainment, acknowledged fans’ worries about Minho appearing on Japan TBS’ The Ultimate Sports Men’s Summit 2024 but opted to proceed with the appearance.
The agency stated, “This broadcast program not only has high public awareness, but is also aired during Japan’s Golden Week, so we believe it will be of great help to Minho’s local activities as a singer, actor, and other artists in various fields.”
The Japanese local management and broadcasting company decided to go ahead with the plan after detailed discussions considering various aspects, including safety measures. They mentioned that Minho will participate only once in the recording, scheduled for April 16.
Previously, numerous SHINee fans had been expressing their concerns on social media, urging a reevaluation of Minho’s participation in this entertainment program due to the potential risk of injury.
Prism Production stated that they understand the fans’ worries and, to address them, both Prism Production and the local management have diligently reviewed and prepared for the recording process to incorporate Minho into the schedule.
They assured fans that they are committed to ensuring a safe completion of the recording. Additionally, recognizing the fans’ love for SHINee, they pledged unwavering support and encouragement for Minho’s continued activities across various fields in the future.
