Song Joong Ki is supporting his close friend and fellow Descendents of the Sun actress Kim Ji Won.
According to an announcement made by tvN on February 23, Song Joong Ki will be making a special appearance in the new drama Queen of Tears.
Queen of Tears will premiere on March 9 at 9:20 PM. It tells the story of Hong Hae-in, who is the queen of department stores, and Baek Hyun-woo, the king of supermarkets. They’ve been married for three years and the drama explores their love story amidst various challenges and a thrilling crisis.
Kim Ji Won and Song Joong Ki have become good friends while working together on Descendants of the Sun in 2016 and Arthdal Chronicles in 2019. They are managed by the same agency and even have meals together at High Zium Studio.
Lastly, Song Joong Ki will be in the Netflix new movie My Name is Loh Kiwan, set to be released on March 1. The movie tells the story of Kiwan, a North Korean defector who goes to Belgium with hope, and Marie, a woman who has lost her purpose in life.
