On March 11, Korean media outlets reported that Song Kang will be the MC on Mnet’s audition show I-LAND 2, airing next month. He’ll then follow the contestants’ progress and narrate the new chapter of I-LAND.

Most importantly, Song Kang is set to enlist on the 2nd of next month, making his appearance on I-LAND 2 likely his final activity before his military service.

I-LAND 2 is currently in its initial filming stages, embarking on a fresh journey to discover ‘N/a’, where unexpected diversity (N) and ‘a (alpha)’ with boundless potential come together to make a mark in the world of K-pop. This project focuses on creating a global K-pop girl group under this theme.

This season, Teddy from The Black Label, known for producing BIGBANG, 2NE1, and BLACKPINK, has joined as a lead producer, heightening anticipation for the debut of a prominent 5th-generation girl group.

In this show, Song Kang steps into the role of a fresh storyteller, continuing the legacy of actor Nam Goong Min, bringing his own special charm to the program.
