Soobin of TXT Talks Comeback, Goals as a Team, Happiness, and More in a Weverse Magazine Interview

In a recent interview with Weverse Magazine, Soobin of TXT opened up about the group’s highly anticipated comeback, their goals as a team, and the pursuit of happiness. On October 23, Weverse Magazine released an interview with TXT’s Soobin and talked about various topics.

From comeback and world tour to favorite song, the TXT leader opened up about a lot of things that fans wanted to know. Without a doubt, the interview with Weverse Magazine provided fans with an intimate glimpse into Soobin’s thoughts and aspirations.

Soobin on Comeback

Soobin talked about their newly released album The Name Chapter: FREEFALL and the preparation process. 

In response to a question about preparing for the comeback, Soobin shared that the album tells a story of overcoming hardships and pain in real life.

He found it relatable and felt confident in expressing it. He further added, ‘To be honest, when I was preparing the previous album, I wasn’t confident enough because I was worried about whether it was a concept I could pull off well. ‘

However, this time, he felt more assured as the song was easier to listen to and the dance was enjoyable.

Chasing That Feeling Choreography

While everyone thinks that choreography for Back For More (TXT Ver.) was more difficult. It was the choreography of Chasing That Feeling that gave Soobin a hard time. Despite that, he enjoyed the choreography and could not help but dance with enthusiasm. 

He shared what his choreography teacher said, ‘This should be done in a faint way, but Soobin looks so excited, you have to control your emotions.’

Soobin talked more about their title track saying, ‘I thought the title song Chasing That Feeling was simple at first, but after listening to it four or five times, it became addictive and I found myself humming it.’

Favorite Song in The Name Chapter: FREEFALL

Previously, Soobin teased on Weverse Live that he had a favorite song among the songs in The Name Chapter: FREEFALL. He named Skipping Stones as his favorite song as it is written by singer-songwriter Han Ro-ro whom Soobin admires.

Soobin revealed his fondness for lyrics that are written only in Korean. He shared his favorite lyrics from the song “The water that swallowed up the wound will one day calm down because you will have a wide embrace.”

TXT World Tour, Lollapalooza Chicago, and MTV VMAs

The TXT leader shared that he did not feel any nervousness during the world tour. Instead of feeling nervous, he feels ‘pleasant excitement’ before the concert starts. 

It was an eventful year for TXT as they headlined Lollapalooza Chicago and performed at the VMAs. Talking about that, Soobin revealed, ‘VMAs was a very nerve-wracking event, but it was still fun.’

He shared that it was a ‘dream-like place’. Moreover, Soobin was surprised to see MOA sticks at the award ceremony thinking “Is it okay for me to stay here?”

Goals as a Team

Previously, Taehyun and Yeonjun appeared on Suchwita and shared that they have big goals they want to achieve as a team. When asked about the team goals, Soobin said he is not a person with huge goals, however, he prioritizes members’ happiness, dreams, and goals.

Soobin shared ‘Although not everyone is like that, some members said that they want to reach the top in this field. So, Really? If that is your happiness and this is your goal, I will do my best.’

Joys of Everyday Life

The TXT leader said he is someone who likes the little happiness in everyday life. He said he finds the greatest happiness in seeing the people around him happy including members, family, friends, fans, and staff. 

Soobin said, ‘I think the happiness of the people I like is as important as my own happiness, for me.’

Difficulties Surrounding the Goals

Soobin expressed his love for his work saying ‘This may not be the case for everyone who has this job, but at least for me the happiness in this job feels much greater than the pain.’

Further, he added, ‘There is greater happiness that makes you feel like it is worth enduring even when it is difficult.’
