Jung Hoyeon recently opened up about the uncanny resemblance fans have noticed between her and ENHYPEN’s Ni-Ki. Previously, the internet went wild with comparisons, and her response added a touch of humor to the mix.
On July 5, Jung Hoyeon appeared as a guest on Hyeri’s show, Hyell’s Club. On the show, Hyeri asked her to share her thoughts on the social media buzz comparing her to Ni-Ki.
The 33-year-old model-turned-actress admitted that she’s seen the memes and does notice the resemblance. Later, Hyeri asked her to say something to Ni-Ki, to which she shared, “Ni-Ki have you heard that we look alike, let’s meet up sometimes.”
When the staff mentioned Ni-Ki’s age, Jung Hoyeon and Hyeri were taken aback, surprised to learn that he was born in 2005.
After which, the Squid Game actress playfully commented, “Ni-Ki, I’m an auntie.”
Previously, ENHYPEN members reacted with surprise to the memes comparing the looks of Jung Hoyeon and Ni-Ki.
Fans later built on that by proposing an intriguing plot twist: Ni-Ki could play the younger brother of Jung Hoyeon’s character in Squid Game, and avenge her death.
On the work front, Jung Hoyeon has made history by gracing the cover of ELLE US. Furthermore, she’s secured a spot in the English show, Disclaimer, scheduled to release in October.
