Stray Kids’ Felix has taken on a new role beyond the stage – promoting global kindness and youth empowerment.
The 24-year-old Australian-Korean idol has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF Korea.
Felix officially became a UNICEF Korea Goodwill Ambassador at a ceremony held at the JYP building on September 21.
During the event, Felix shared his motivation for taking on this role, stating, “I decided to become a UNICEF Korea Goodwill Ambassador because I want to protect the pure happiness of all children I am grateful for the love I have received from my fans and with the strength of the love I have received, I want to do my best to convey love to children.”
The Secretary General of UNICEF Korea Choi Mi Jin shared, “Felix’s sincere actions in practicing the value of sharing in his life have been a role model for many, so I look forward to the positive influence he will have as a UNICEF goodwill Ambassador in the future.”
Felix was appointed as an ambassador celebrating the organization’s 30 years of advocating for children’s rights.
Felix is an ideal candidate for this role as he has supported UNICEF’s causes by donating 150 million KRW to improve children’s access to nutritious food and clean drinking water. He received praise for visiting Laos during the Lunar Year vacation to spend time with the vulnerable children.
