Lee Know, from the talent group Stray Kids, was appointed to the ‘Bob Pierce Honor Club’ as the youngest member.
On February 28, World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, announced today that they appointed Lee Know, one of the members of Stray Kids, to the prestigious Bob Pierce Honor Club.
The Bob Pierce Honor Club is a group of generous donors named after Bob Pierce, the founder of World Vision. Members are chosen from sponsors who have donated over 100 million won and share a passion for addressing global issues and promoting the value of sharing.
This donation club aims to foster a culture of active giving by transparently sharing donation results. People from all walks of life, including JYP Entertainment producer Park Jin Young, are playing a vital role in spreading the importance of sharing across different sectors of society.
In January, Lee Know generously donated 100 million won to World Vision’s global food crisis response project. This project aims to provide aid to children in the poorest countries who are facing food shortages caused by the rapid effects of climate change.
Not only that, in February of last year, he also took part in emergency relief efforts for the Turkiye-Syria earthquake.
In relation to the donation, Lee Know shared, “I would be grateful if my strength could be of some help to children at home and abroad.” Further, he said, “I will think about what I can do where I am and pass on the love I have received.”
World Vision Chairman Cho Myung-hwan mentioned that Lee Know, who has always shown interest and support for children in need, became the youngest member ever of the Bob Pierce Honor Club. Chairman Cho hopes that his positive influence can be spread through World Vision, and the Stray Kids member himself is determined to work even harder to make that happen.
On another note, last October, Stray Kids members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Han, and Seungmin teamed up with World Vision for an amazing event called DREAM DAY. They had the opportunity to meet 16 teenagers who dream of becoming singers as part of World Vision’s dream support project, Dreaming Children.
During this special day, the Stray Kids members shared their own stories, gave advice, and even taught choreography to inspire and support these aspiring young talents. Previously, Felix became the youngest member of the Honors Club by donating 100 million won to support children in Laos.
