The multinational girl group MADEIN is facing a major turning point. According to reports published on December 26, the group’s remaining Korean members, Suhye and Yeseo, are in final talks with their agency about leaving the group.

If confirmed, their departure will leave only the Japanese members active.

MADEIN debuted in September 2024 as a multinational project. The group combined members from LIMELIGHT with well-known former members of Kep1er, including Mashiro and Yeseo.

However, the group soon entered a period of instability. In November 2024, member Oh Gaeun left the group and later held a press conference accusing the CEO of 143 Entertainment, Lee Yonghak, of sexual assault during a meeting at his office.

The agency denied the allegations and stated that many claims were different from the truth. A handwritten apology letter related to the issue was released, but the denial from the CEO’s side continued.

After the controversy, MADEIN was reorganized into a six-member group. Their last album promotions took place in February this year with “MADEIN Forever.” In May, Suhye went on an indefinite hiatus for personal reasons. Since then, the group has not returned with a full lineup.

As time passed, the chances of a complete group comeback grew slimmer.

Reports also stated that the company handling MADEIN’s Japanese management planned to officially raise concerns about a possible breach of contract due to the lack of group activity.

In late 2025, both Suhye and Yeseo removed “MADEIN” from their social media profiles and shared new contact details for work inquiries. These changes strongly suggested their decision to leave. Earlier this year, CEO Lee Yonghak announced he would step down from his position following the prolonged controversy.

For Yeseo, the situation is especially painful. After gaining fame through Girls Planet 999 and debuting with Kep1er, MADEIN was meant to be her long-term and stable group. Her reported exit marks the end of that plan and leaves her next steps unclear.

With Suhye and Yeseo preparing to leave, MADEIN is no longer active as a full group. Only the Japanese unit, MADEIN S, continues promotions, which includes Mashiro, Miyu, Serina, and Nagomi.

The future of the MADEIN project is unclear. It’s not yet known if the company can manage a Japan-only unit or what the departing members will do next.
