Ex-NCT member Taeil has made his Instagram account private following his recent removal from the group due to serious sexual crime allegations.
On September 5, his Instagram account was switched to private mode. Further, his YouTube channel ‘TAEIL MOON’ has been cleared of all content. This comes after Taeil was removed from the team.
SM Entertainment announced on August 28 that Taeil has been indicted in a sexual assault case.
After investigating, they deemed the matter was too serious to continue team activities and decided to remove Taeil from the team after discussion. Since then, the agency and NCT members have unfollowed him on social media.
Last month, Seoul police confirmed that a woman filed a sexual assault complaint against Taeil in June. Fans were enraged and criticized SM Entertainment for letting him participate in team activities despite such serious allegations.
The complaint was filed a day before his birthday on June 13, and he held a live broadcast the next day. In response, SM Entertainment stated that Taeil and the agency only found out about the case in early August.
Taeil participated in the recording of the song and music video for the NCT 127 album WALK, released in July. He was unable to attend music shows or other promotions due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. However, he did attend NCT 127’s 8th anniversary fan meeting held on August 3-4.
