While the specific charges remain undisclosed, the police have confirmed that a case has been opened against Taeil.
Fans were shocked to learn that a police report was filed against him on June 13, just one day before his birthday. Adding to the surprise, Taeil went ahead with a live broadcast on his birthday, June 14.
On August 29, SM Entertainment later revealed that the agency and Taeil were unaware of the accusation until mid-August. Although the police filed a report in June, Taeil and the agency did not learn about it until two months later.
