PD Lee Joo Hyung was fatally injured in a taxi accident on World Cup Road in Seoul. The taxi crashed into a parked tour bus and then hit a moving compact car at 00:26. The taxi driver suffered minor injuries and faced charges of violating traffic laws.

PD Lee tragically died at the scene of a taxi accident that occurred while he was on his way home from a day of overtime work. He was expecting his first child with his wife, with a due date in December.

PD joined tvN as a production PD in 2016 and worked on numerous shows, including Three Meals a Day, New Journey to the West seasons 2 and 3, Great Escape 4, and more.

In July last year, he moved to Borderless Film, a production company under Coupang Play, where he contributed to the sports documentary Full Count, released on Disney+.

The funeral for PD Lee Joo Hyung was held at the Guro Sacred Heart Hospital funeral home in Seoul, room 6, on August 24 at 2:00 PM KST.
