On August 5 at midnight, JYP Entertainment announced Tzuyu’s solo debut date with a scheduler poster on all TWICE’s social media channels.

As per the newly unveiled poster, the 25-year-old singer will release the following content

  • August 8 – Concept Photo #1
  • August 12 – Tracklist
  • August 17 – Concept Photo #2
  • August 19 –  Concept Photo #3
  • August 26 – Concept Photo #4
  • August 28 – Album Preview (Full Ver.)
  • August 30 – Album Sneak Peak
  • September 2 – MV Teaser #1
  • September 4 – MV Teaser #2
  • September 6 – Album Release

The title is a creative play on words, blending the English term ‘about’ with the initial syllable of Tzuyu’s stage name, TZU.

On August 2 at midnight, the intriguing trailer for her debut album was released, which left many wondering about the concept of the debut album.

Previously, JYP Entertainment shared through their press release that Tzuyu’s solo debut will highlight her growth and evolution from TWICE’s maknae to a confident and independent solo artist.

She is the third TWICE member to debut as a soloist after Nayeon and Jihyo.

Both Nayeon and Jihyo have achieved impressive solo success, with Nayeon’s albums IM NAYEON and NA both hitting No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Jihyo’s ZONE reaching No. 14.

After the conclusion of TWICE’s 5th world tour READY TO BE, TWICE Tzuyu will make a solo debut followed by MISAMO (Mina, Sana, and Momo) comeback in October.

Lastly, Tuzyu will make her solo debut on September 6 with a mini-album, abouTZU.
