TXT and IVE have taken the music industry by storm with the release of their new albums. Both groups have achieved record-breaking sales in the first week of their album releases, solidifying their positions as rising stars.
TXT, short for Tomorrow X Together, and IVE released their albums The Name Chapter: FREEFALL and I’VE MINE respectively on October 13. Both sensational K-pop groups broke their previous records with the album sales in the first week of release.
According to Hanteo Chart, their latest release The Name Chapter: FREEFALL became a double million seller.
Previously, their 5th mini album ‘The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION sold a whopping 2.18 million copies in the first week alone. They not only set a new record for first week sales, but they placed two albums on the ‘double million seller’ list this year.
On the other hand, IVE has also updated records with their latest release. According to Hanteo Chart, IVE’s latest album ‘I’VE MINE’ sold a massive 1,605,948 copies in the first week after its release.
This incredible achievement marks their third ‘million-seller’ album, following the success of their third single album ‘After LIKE’ and their first full-length album ‘I’ve IVE’.
That’s not all! Not only did IVE’s album sell like crazy, but all three of their triple title songs, ‘Baddie’, ‘Off The Record’, and ‘Either Way’, also climbed the charts and ranked high on major domestic music sites.
