JYP Entertainment has reintroduced its global girl group VCHA under the new name GIRLSET. The agency confirmed the name change on August 7 by releasing a rebranding film and logo on their official social media platforms.

The new group name marks a fresh direction for members Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savanna. They will now restart their global promotions after a prolonged absence of 1 year and 5 months under the group name GIRLSET.

The rebranding film shows new visuals of the four members and captures raw emotions such as sadness and pain while maintaining a relaxed and confident tone. They appear wearing suits that reflect their personalities, ending the video with the line: “We’re setting who we are.”

The phrase represents GIRLSET’s intention to define their own identity and future without limits. The heart symbol is in the new logo for the rebranded 4-member girl group.

The rebrand follows days of confusion and concern among fans. On August 5, all content from VCHA’s official Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X accounts was deleted, including profile images and posts. Simultaneously, VCHA’s artist profile was quietly taken down from JYP Entertainment’s official website. These actions fueled rumors that the group had disbanded.

Amid the uncertainty, Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savanna launched individual Instagram accounts. Each posted an image of four microphones labeled with their names. JYP followed the accounts that hinted at a new chapter rather than disbandment. Fans quickly connected these moves to a possible rebrand, which was confirmed two days later.

VCHA was originally formed through the A2K (America2Korea) project in 2023, a collab between JYP and Republic Records. The group debuted with six members and positioned itself as a U.S.-focused K-pop act.

However, in December 2024, member KG left the group and filed a lawsuit against JYP USA, citing labor abuse, negligence, and psychological distress. JYP Entertainment addressed the allegations, stating that the claims were ‘exaggerated.’

Then, in July 2025, member Kaylee departed the group after a mutual agreement with the agency, reducing VCHA to four members.

Following Kaylee’s exit, the group entered a long period of silence with no updates or public appearances. The group’s social media reset a couple of days ago, combined with their removal from JYP’s website, further fueled rumors of a possible disbandment.

However, the launch of GIRLSET confirms that the group is not ending but evolving.

By wiping all previous content and removing VCHA branding, JYP signaled a complete reset rather than a continuation under the old identity. GIRLSET now serves as the official name of the four-member lineup.
