Jimin will be discharged from the military on June 11 (very soon!). Fans worldwide are quite excited about his return to the spotlight, and rightfully so. Besides the 29-year-old K-pop star, three more BTS members, Jungkook, Jimin, and V, will return next week. There are several activities planned right after their discharge, beginning with BTS’s 12th debut anniversary celebrations.
As HYBE officials have repeatedly stated, the group members will likely focus on solo activities for a while. BTS’ full-fledged activities may begin by the end of this year or early 2026. Till then, ARMYs will be booked and busy supporting the solo projects of members.
While nothing has been confirmed, here are Jimin’s possible plans after military discharge.
Jimin Military Discharge Date
There is not long left before he will return to civilian life and begin activities in earnest. Park Jimin, the BTS vocalist and dancer, is officially scheduled to be discharged from his mandatory South Korean military service on June 11, 2025. He enlisted with member Jungkook on December 12, 2023, and now returns after 18 months of active-duty service.
BTS Reunion and Initial Public Appearances
Right after the military discharge, it is likely that Jimin will connect with fans through Weverse Live. The “Like Crazy” singer was not spotted frequently during military service, unlike Jungkook and V. The only time fans got a glimpse of him was when he was departing from Gimpo International Airport last month.
Now, they can brace themselves as he will make frequent public appearances. It is expected that the discharged BTS members will take part in the BTS Festa 2025 celebrations. In addition, Jimin may attend j-hope’s encore concerts with fellow bandmates on June 13-14.
Jimin May Attend Paris Fashion Week 2025
Jimin enlisted in the military and hit pause on his activities nearly a year after being appointed Dior ambassador in January 2023. Fans did not get to see him attend fashion events for the brand, but that’s about to change. He is expected to attend the Paris Fashion Week, happening from June 24 to 29. While it won’t be his PFW debut, Jimin will possibly return to the prestigious fashion week later this month. Not to mention, the BTS member will attend Tiffany & Co. events in the future as well.
Solo Comeback
A solo comeback is most certainly in the works. In an emotional Weverse post, Jimin hinted at his post-military plans, yes, including a solo comeback. He wondered about the kind of music he wanted to release pre-service, “What song should I sing? What kind of album will we start talking about?”
He made his solo debut with FACE in March 2023 and released his sophomore mini-album MUSE in July 2024 while he was serving in the military. Despite being away, he delivered a chart-topping hit, Who, which surpassed BTS’ Dynamite to become the longest-charting K-pop song on the HOT 100.
Last time, Jimin did not promote the album due to military service, still the album performed exceptionally well. Now, the K-pop star will promote his upcoming album with appearances on domestic and international platforms.
Variety and Travel Shows
Jimin will likely share his military service experiences with fans through appearances on variety shows. Fans may see him on popular and entertaining variety and talk shows like Running Man, Hangout With Yoo, Yoo Quiz on the Block, and more.
Even better, he might start his own variety or travel show with a unique concept to connect with ARMYs. Fans are hoping for the second season of Are You Sure?!, a Disney+ travel show featuring Jimin and Jungkook going on fun trips together.
