SHINee’s Key has unexpectedly been pulled into the widening controversy surrounding comedian Park Na Rae. Online users resurfaced an old social media post from the unlicensed medical practitioner at the center of her scandal.
What began as an issue focused on Park Na Rae’s alleged workplace abuse and questionable medical treatments has now spread to Key. As of now, he has never commented on the situation.
The situation began when a December 2024 Instagram post from the individual known as “A”—also referred to online as the “injection auntie”—started circulating again. In the post, A uploaded a photo of a brown poodle and addressed it as “Comme Des,” even mentioning another dog named “Garçons.” To anyone familiar with Key, those two names stand out immediately.
Key has two famous poodles, Comme des and Garçons, who have appeared with him many times on MBC’s “I Live Alone.” The post was also tagged in UN Village in Hannam-dong, where Key has been known to live. The caption included a phrase that caught attention: “It’s been over 10 years…”. It fueled speculation about whether A had known Key personally for a long time.
A quickly deleted it and wiped her account of anything connected to Key. By then, some fans were already asking for clarification, saying the connection felt strange.
The renewed attention comes as A faces serious accusations related to Park Na Rae’s scandal. A had been reported for providing Ringer’s solution, antidepressants, and other medical procedures to Park without holding a valid Korean medical license.
According to reports, A even accompanied Park on overseas schedules while providing treatment. Park’s agency initially said they believed A was a licensed doctor and that the treatments were legitimate. However, the situation escalated when the Doctors’ Association for a Fair Society reviewed A’s claims.
A insisted she had studied in Inner Mongolia and even became a professor at a university hospital there, but the association stated that the so-called “Pogang Medical University” she mentioned does not exist. They added that even graduates of real Chinese medical schools cannot automatically obtain Korean medical licenses.
A briefly posted photos of herself wearing a doctor’s gown and a video from a Chinese media outlet. However, when people began asking for proof of a Korean medical license, she deleted everything.
All of this spiraled out of a separate conflict involving Park Na Rae and her two former managers. They accused her of workplace harassment, verbal and physical abuse, sexual remarks, and embezzlement.
Park denied the allegations and countered with a blackmail claim. Tensions grew when Park’s mother, who runs her agency, transferred money to the managers. Later, Park’s side described it as an emotional gesture, not an attempt to negotiate. The managers later sought a provisional seizure of Park’s assets, and the battle is now fully in the legal arena.
She has stepped down from “I Live Alone,” and a new show she was filming halted its production entirely.
Key has remained silent through all of this. He has not addressed A’s deleted post, the rumors online, or whether he had any prior connection to her at all.
