On June 28, YG Entertainment confirmed that the four members of 2NE1 – CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Gong Minzy – had a meeting with General Producer Yang Hyun Suk at the agency’s new headquarters in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on June 27.

This marked the first time in eight years that the four members had met with General Producer Yang together.

YG Entertainment confirmed the meeting, stating, “Chief producer Yang warmly welcomed each of the four members of 2NE1 one by one. The meeting, which lasted about two hours, involved very meaningful and deep conversations.”

The formal meeting between 2NE1 members and Yang Hyun Suk grabbed a lot of attention, which took place during the members’ visit to the company’s new headquarters.

YG mentioned that due to the members personally meeting with both executive producers to commemorate their 15th debut anniversary, there is a strong likelihood that 2NE1’s upcoming project will move forward.

However, the agency revealed that no concrete plans have been made yet, “As this is the first time that General Producer Yang and the 2NE1 members met and had a conversation in 8 years, no concrete plans have been made yet.”

They mentioned that General Producer Yang, who holds a special fondness for 2NE1, is responding to the members’ requests. Lastly, YG Entertainment shared that they’re eager to share good news with fans.
