Daniela Avanzini is one of the six members of KATSEYE, the global girl group formed by HYBE and Geffen Records through the survival show The Debut: Dream Academy. She was born on July 1, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia, and comes from a Cuban and Venezuelan family. Her mother is Cuban, while her father is Venezuelan and also has German, Italian and Spanish ancestry.

Daniela comes from a family of dancers
It is not surprising that Daniela became KATSEYE’s main dancer. She grew up in a family where dance was already a big part of everyday life.
Both of her parents are professionally trained ballroom dancers, which influenced her passion for dance. Her mother, Ana Llorente, made history as the first Cuban to win a world ballroom championship.
Daniela started dancing when she was only three or four years old. So, by the time she joined KATSEYE, she already had many years of training and stage experience behind her.
She Was a Child TV Star Before KATSEYE
Daniela has been performing on television since she was a kid. She appeared on Sábado Gigante when she was eight, competed on America’s Got Talent at nine, and placed 10th on So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation in 2016. She also won second place at the international competition Super Kids Europe when she was seven.
One of her early TV appearances was on The Queen Latifah Show as a child dancer. In May 2026, she reunited with Queen Latifah backstage at the American Music Awards — 12 years after appearing on her show. Daniela called it a “full circle moment” and said it was “still just as surreal.”

Daniela is currently dating Jonah David, a TikToker and musician. He is a Canadian R&B artist and the co-founder of the streetwear brand Bully LA. Their relationship became public around late 2025, after fans spotted them together in Los Angeles.
Daniela has been fairly open about the relationship. She has reposted his photos and even posted a Valentine’s Day tribute to him on her Instagram Story. Jonah even released a track called “Andreas Freestyle,” named after Daniela’s middle name, Andrea.
