Word on the street is that I.O.I might be reuniting in 2026, 10 whole years after they first burst onto the scene. After disbanding in January 2017, the group’s members have been pursuing activities as solo artists. As their 10th anniversary approaches, fans hope to see these lovely ladies back on stage together.
According to reports, the members are in talks to come together for a special project, which could include new music and fan events. On May 15, a Korean media outlet gave the latest update about the I.O.I reunion.
It is not new for disbanded K-pop groups to reunite and celebrate milestones. More recently, GFriend, 2NE1, and Lovelyz reunited to celebrate their debut anniversaries.
I.O.I Members Reportedly Pushed for Reunion First
According to the report, the I.O.I members themselves were the first to express their desire to reunite. Recently, representatives from the members’ respective agencies reportedly held discussions to align schedules and finalize plans.
However, a representative for one of the I.O.I members told Star News, “There is nothing confirmed about a reunion yet. But I do know that the members have expressed interest in holding a fan meeting to commemorate their 10th debut anniversary.”
Another member’s representative also told Star News, “We haven’t heard anything about an I.O.I reunion,” and refrained from commenting further.
