Producer Kim Tae Ho and G-Dragon are officially teaming up again. On December 10, the production company TEO confirmed that the BIGBANG leader will appear in Season 2 of Good Day. They explained that the project is happening for sure, but the exact schedule and broadcast details are still undecided.

Since nothing has been finalized yet, Season 2 isn’t guaranteed to air on MBC like Season 1 did. This leaves the door open for a different broadcaster.

Good Day is a music project show where G-Dragon becomes a producer for the year and creates a special “song that represents the year” with people who symbolized that moment in culture. Season 1 ran from February 16 to April 13 and immediately became a hot topic.

Fans were excited to see Kim Tae Ho and G-Dragon working together again after Infinite Challenge. Plus, Kim’s return to MBC after years added even more attention.

Season 1 brought together a huge list of guests—Jung Hyung Don, Defconn, Jo Se Ho, Code Kunst, Kim Soo Hyun, Taeyang, Hwang Kwang Hee, Jung Hae In, Im Siwan, Lee Soo Hyuk, SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, aespa, chef Ahn Sung Jae, and more.

The show did face some challenges, including heavy editing caused by Kim Soo Hyun’s personal controversy at the time, but it still stayed popular every week. It also performed well internationally, even landing on global OTT charts.

Now that Season 2 is officially happening, many fans are wondering what kind of chemistry Kim Tae Ho and G-Dragon will bring this time. There’s also curiosity about whether some of the Season 1 members will return. One person who almost certainly won’t appear is Jo Se Ho.

Although he played a big role in Season 1 and is known to be close to G-Dragon, Jo Se Ho recently halted all of his broadcast activities after being swept up in a controversy related to rumored ties to an organized crime figure. Because of that, his return is considered highly unlikely.

Jo Se Ho’s issue became a major topic earlier this month. A social media user posted photos showing him alongside a man accused of being involved in illegal gambling. The poster also claimed Jo promoted the man’s business and received expensive gifts. His agency denied everything, calling the claims baseless, but the backlash grew fast.

On December 9, his agency A2Z Entertainment confirmed he would step down from You Quiz on the Block and 2 Days & 1 Night. With his hiatus now in effect, he is expected to be absent from Good Day Season 2.

Before the first season aired, G-Dragon talked about wanting this project to last a long time. He said he was inspired by old videos of legendary artists sharing the stage when he was younger. He hoped Good Day could recreate that feeling for today’s audiences. He also said he didn’t want this show to be a one-and-done project. Season 2 being confirmed shows that his vision is becoming a reality.

As production moves forward, viewers are looking forward to seeing who will join G-Dragon this time and what kind of story the show will tell in its second season.
