Shownu from MONSTAX is venturing into the world of musicals for the first time.
Starship Entertainment announced that Shownu will be taking the stage in the musical The Great Comet of 1812 starting from March 26th at the Universal Arts Center in Seoul.
The Great Comet of 1812 is based on Tolstoy’s masterpiece War and Peace and was recreated by Dave Malloy, a famous American composer and playwright.
The stage and audience are remodeled to match the concept of the work, creating an interactive experience for the audience. The musical combines classical and modern elements, resulting in a captivating stage that keeps the audience engaged and entertained.
In the musical The Great Comet of 1812, which has gained recognition for its artistic quality and popularity, Shownu will be stepping into the role of Anatole, a charming soldier.
Through Starship Entertainment, Shown shared, “This is my first attempt at a musical, so I may have many shortcomings, but I will practice hard and show a good performance. Please watch ‘Great Comet’ with a lot of interest and love, and please support my first challenge as well.”
It wIll be super exciting to see how he brings the character of Anatole to life on stage.
The Great Comet of 1812 with Shownu will be happening at the Universal Arts Center from March 26 to June 16. Tickets will be available starting on February 2.
