All 8 Members of EXO Renew Contract to Continue Promoting as a Group with SM Entertainment

EXO

All the members of EXO have renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment for their group activities. However, it’s worth noting that not all members will be continuing with the agency for their individual pursuits.

On January 8, SM Entertainment has officially announced that all eight members of EXO will be continuing their activities together as EXO. They also revealed some exciting plans in store, including new music releases, thrilling stages, and even a fan meeting scheduled for April.

According to the statement, the exclusive contracts of the members who have renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment are still in effect. Additionally, D.O. (Do Kyung-soo), whose exclusive contract has ended, has expressed his agreement to participate in EXO activities and is currently discussing future schedules.

As for Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, it has been agreed that they will be able to pursue individual activities separately under their respective exclusive contracts.

Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen from EXO, also known as CBX, will officially manage their individual activities under I&B 100, a label established by Beakhyun. Their individual activities at the independent label are being carried out in mutual agreement with SM Entertainment.

Before EXO’s comeback in June last year, Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen had a disagreement with SM Entertainment regarding the validity of their exclusive contract. However, after 18 days of discussions and negotiations, the three of them were able to reach a friendly agreement with SM Entertainment.

They decided to maintain their exclusive contract and continue their activities together as a group. Lastly, SM Entertainment vowed to support EXO members and asked fans to look forward to their activities.
