Baekho has announced his departure from his longtime agency PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT. The former NU’EST member will officially part ways with PLEDIS in mid-March.
He first stepped into the spotlight as a member of NU’EST in 2012. Later, his appearance on “Produce 101” Season 2 in 2017 skyrocketed his popularity. Following this, Baekho and the rest of NU’EST renewed their contracts with PLEDIS in 2019. After the contracts ended in 2022, the 29-year-old K-pop star continued to pursue solo activities under PLEDIS.
On March 6, PLEDIS Entertainment announced his departure in an official statement,
“Baekho’s exclusive contract will terminate on March 14th.We would like to extend our gratitude to the fans who have shown unwavering love and support for Baekho. After engaging in sincere discussions with Baekho regarding his future activities, we have mutually agreed to terminate his exclusive contract.
Since debuting as NU’EST in 2012, Baekho has established himself as a singer-songwriter, as well as in various fields such as musicals and entertainment. As a versatile entertainer, he has showcased his unique passion and energy.
To express our gratitude to the fans who have been with us, Baekho will release a digital single on March 14th, which will be the conclusion of his official activities as a PLEDIS Entertainment artist.
We extend our deepest gratitude and support to Baekho, with whom we have shared a long journey. We sincerely hope that his new endeavors will lead to an even brighter path, and we will continue to wholeheartedly support Baekho’s future endeavors.”
