After the departure of fromis_9 from PLEDIS Entertainment, rumors swirl about the future of members.

The future of fromis_9 hangs in the balance, and it has left fans wondering what’s next for the group. Will they continue to perform together, or will the members pursue solo projects?

As per reports from Kmedia, it appears that five members of fromis_9 have decided to leave their current agency and join Big Planet Made Entertainment.

On the other hand, the remaining three members are not on board with this decision and are currently exploring options with other companies. As a result, it seems unlikely that fromis_9 will be able to continue promoting as a full group.

On January 17, Big Planet Entertainment denied rumors of signing with five members, saying, ”We would like to inform you that the news reported this morning that 5 members of the group fromis_9 are transferring to our company is not true.”

The talent pool of BPM includes notable names like Taemin of SHINee, Lee Moo Jin, Ren of NU’EST, Lee Seung Gi, Ha Sung-woon, and BAD VILLIAN. It is a subsidiary of One Hundred Label, which also oversees INB100, the label behind EXO’s sub-unit CBX.

They previously signed with three GFriend members, Eunha, SinB, and Umji, and formed a new girl group VIVIZ.

fromis_9’s journey with PLEDIS Entertainment came to an end on December 31, 2024. The group was formed through Mnet’s ‘Idol School’ in 2018 and initially debuted under Off the Record, a CJ ENM subsidiary, with nine members, including Jang Gyuri. After Jang Gyuri left to pursue acting, the group reorganized as an eight-member unit.

Members Lee Saerom, Song Ha Young, Park Jiwon, Noh Jisun, Lee Seoyeon, Lee Chaeyoung, Lee Nakyung, and Baek Jiheon transferred to PLEDIS Entertainment in 2021. During their time with Pledis, they released several successful albums, however, the group’s activities slowed down, and they did not release new music for over a year.

In May 2024, the members expressed their frustration with the long hiatus through the Weverse channel. They eventually made a comeback with their third single, “Supersonic,” in August 2024.

Despite this, the members decided not to renew their contract with PLEDIS Entertainment. As a farewell gift to their fans, they released a special single titled “from.,” which marked the end of their time together under PLEDIS.
