V and Park Bo Gum Join CELINE Omotesando Reopening in Tokyo
CELINE has reopened its flagship boutique on Omotesando Street in Tokyo, which drew attention with appearances from brand ambassadors V of BTS and actor Park Bo Gum.
The two stars arrived in style, with V wearing a denim jacket, white shirt, and black leather pants, while Park Bo Gum chose an all-black look topped with a fringed biker jacket. Fans gathered outside to welcome them, turning the reopening into a lively event.
Both V and Park Bo Gum are often seen at CELINE’s major events, from magazine shoots to runway shows. Earlier this year, they modeled for the brand’s latest collection in Arena magazine. BLACKPINK’s Lisa, who is also a CELINE ambassador, was not present at the reopening as she is currently performing in the group’s Born Pink world tour in San Francisco.
The Omotesando store is one of CELINE’s biggest in the world, covering more than 700 square meters across three floors. Artistic director Hedi Slimane led the redesign, which mixes natural materials with Brutalist and Modernist details.
On the ground floor, visitors can find leather goods, jewelry, and fragrances. The highlight is a spiral staircase alongside a two-story copper-and-steel sculpture by artist Elaine Cameron-Weir.
The first floor is dedicated to women’s ready-to-wear collections and features a private VIP lounge with mid-century furniture. With large glass windows, the space looks out over Omotesando’s tree-lined streets. The basement floor houses men’s ready-to-wear, designed with black lacquer, mirrors, and travertine stone for a bold finish.
As with other CELINE stores, the Omotesando location also serves as a gallery space under the CELINE Art Project. Paintings and sculptures by artists such as Chris Succo, John Isaacs, David Nash, and Cameron Platter are displayed throughout the boutique, adding to the brand’s blend of fashion and art.
On the work front, V gears up for his debut as a soloist with Layover, Park Bo Gum, on the other hand, will be seen in the movie Wonderland with a star-studded cast, and has been cast in the action drama, Good Boy.
