The perfect on-screen pairing has materialized!
Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang are in talks to lead a new fantasy romance drama “Charge Me” (working title).
The fantasy romance drama ‘Charge Me’ – an adaptation of the popular web novel – tells the love story between Baek Ho Rang, a man living with an artificial heart that’s running out of power, and Na Bo Bae, the extraordinary woman with electric powers.
Fresh off the success of MBC’s “When the Phone Rings”, Chae Soo Bin will reportedly play the lead role in this new drama. After the conclusion of “When the Phone Rings” earlier this year, fans were eagerly looking forward to her next project. Her notable acting credits include “I’m Not a Robot”, “A Piece of Your Mind”, “Rookie Cops”, and more.
Kim Young Kwang will take on the role of Baek Ho-rang, the male lead in the romantic comedy. This marks his first foray into the genre in a while, and fans are excited to see his charming performance.
He has captivated audiences with his roles in “Trigger”, “Evilive”, “Call it Love”, “Somebody”, and “The Secret Life of My Secretary”. Kim recently made a special appearance in the SBS’s ongoing historical drama “The Haunted Palace”. He will be next seen in the Netflix series “Eun Soo Good Day” and “Trigger”. Kim Young Kwang is currently filming a movie with Cha Eunwoo and Kang Ha Neul.
The drama “Charge Me” will be helmed by director Park Soo Won (“Work Later, Drink Now”, “Big Forest”, and “Birthcare Center”).
Meanwhile, the drama will be released globally via a major streaming platform.
