ENHYPEN’s Jungwon is winning hearts with his raw and honest response to the recent dating rumors involving aespa’s Winter.
The 20-year-old K-pop idol went live on Weverse and addressed the rumors head-on. On December 11, dating rumors started when a blurry photo surfaced, suggesting that Jungwon and aespa’s Winter were seen on a date at a bar in Seoul.
Shortly after the rumors went viral, SM Entertainment categorically denied the rumors as “completely unfounded.” They explained that the individual who leaked the photos tried to reach out to the agency directly with the goal of making money. However, after being turned down by the media outlet for financial gain, they maliciously spread the rumors.
More recently, a photo of him smoking was shared by an X user, which gained traction. According to the accuser, Jungwon allegedly smokes outdoors late at night, despite claiming he avoids going out.
During a livestream on December 12, he directly addressed the rumors, stating, “There is a comment asking if I am going out with someone, I am not dating anyone.”
Jungwon also broke silence on smoking allegations, saying, “There are some people who smoke but I don’t smoke either.”
He continued, “The people who posted that I’ve no idea of what they were trying to do with it, I am not dating, and I don’t smoke.”
Fans are admiring the ENHYPEN leader for speaking out against the rumors. They have been urging BELIFT LAB to take serious action against the leaker for tarnishing his image and spreading misinformation.
