Netizens have been eagerly awaiting an update on Taeil’s sexual misconduct case, as it has been a few weeks since the police last made any statements.

Today, Seoul’s Bangbae Police Station revealed that Taeil was referred to the prosecution without detention on September 12. The police had launched an investigation into the former NCT member in June following a report from the victim.

He was summoned by the police for the first round of questioning on August 28.

In response to the allegations, SM Entertainment made the decision to remove Taeil from the group on the same day he was summoned by the police.

The agency stated that the allegations were too serious for him to continue group activities. While the case was filed on June 13, a day before his birthday, SM Entertainment revealed that they only found out about it in mid-August.

The specifics of the sex crime case have not been revealed, and the label promised to share details later once the police investigation concludes.

After receiving criticism for his actions, Taeil made his Instagram private and deleted all content from YouTube.

Taeil, a member of NCT and NCT 127, debuted in 2016 and was removed from the group on August 28. All NCT members and SM Entertainment have unfollowed him on social media after the incident.
