Since then, fans have been calling out the HYBE chairman for his remarks and receiving backlash from aespa fans.
Recently, a fan-made TikTok challenge has gone viral, racking up the massive number of views, where fans have cleverly inserted Bang Si Hyuk into a video with aespa’s Karina and Ningning.
It is one of the videos where Karina and Nigning are seen performing their pre-release track, Supernova.
Previously, CEO Min Hee Jin also accused Bang Si Hyuk of urging her to inflate NewJeans sales to break aespa’s debut record.
During the press conference to commemorate the release of their latest album, Armageddon, the group directly addressed Bang Si Hyuk’s remarks saying that they are concentrating on practicing since it is their first full-length album.
