On November 30 at the Melon Music Awards (MMA 2024), leader Soyeon confirmed that they will continue their journey with Cube Entertainment. Although the contract renewal seemed unlikely at first, all group members signed an exclusive deal with the agency.

On Monday, December 2, Cube Entertainment released an official statement, stating, “We have completed contract renewals with all members of (G)I-DLE, including Soyeon, whose exclusive contract had already ended, as well as Miyeon, Minnie, Yuqi, and Shuhua, who still had time left on their existing contracts. We thank (G)I-DLE for completing the contract renewals based on a strong trust relationship, and we also sincerely thank the fans who have been waiting for this news for a long time.”

(G)I-DLE’s leader Jeon Soyeon was expected to sign with a new agency when her contract with Cube Entertainment expired in November. She took a dig at the agency multiple times in her performances.

Despite speculation she might leave, Soyeon has surprisingly renewed her contract with Cube after last-minute talks and will stay with (G)I-DLE.

She surprised everyone by revealing their decision to renew the contract with the label at MMA 2024 during the award acceptance speech.

(G)I-DLE has been Cube Entertainment for the past 7 years and will continue to release new groundbreaking music for years to come.
