The 35-year-old American-Korean rapper sat down for an interview with a YouTube channel, dishing on the recent controversy.
Jessi said she felt unfairly blamed for a fan assault incident. She wanted to clear her name and explain what happened.
The “NUNU NANA” rapper also revealed that she recently purchased a 4 billion won ($2.8 million) home with a 2 billion won ($1.4 million) loan. She stated, ‘I was putting a lot of effort into the interior design, but due to this recent incident, the interior work has been put on hold.’
She has terminated her contract with her agency and halted all activities amidst a series of controversies.
A recent video surfaced showing a minor fan being assaulted after requesting a photo with her. Contrary to her initial claims that the assailant was unknown, footage revealed she intervened during the incident.
Additionally, Jessi’s connection to producer Koala, who is reported to be the attacker, has sparked criticism. While she denied any connection with him, it is reported that producer Koala, suspected to be a Korean gang member, is a longtime friend of Jessi.
In addition, two other victims have come forward alleging that they were assaulted by Jessi and her group in 2013 and 2017.
