Kwon Eunbi refuses to remain silent in the face of sexual harassment, defamation, and malicious attacks. Instead, she’ll be taking the perpetrators to court to hold them accountable for their actions.
On July 5, Woollim Entertainment announced an update on the legal action proceeding stating that serious acts of sexual harassment, invasion of privacy, malicious attacks, and spreading of false information and pornographic images have significantly affected the mental well-being of Kwon Eunbi.
They announced legal action against individuals spreading misinformation, “In response, we have compiled numerous malicious posts including indiscriminate defamation, insults, sexual harassment, spreading of false information, malicious attacks, posting of composite lewd photos of the artist, and have submitted the first round of criminal complaints against those who have engaged in such criminal acts.”
They shared that the police investigation is underway to address these matters.
The agency made it clear that such behaviors constitute criminal offenses, and they intend to take strict legal actions against those who have violated the Network Act on defamation and the Criminal Act on insult, based on the evidence collected.
Furthermore, Woollim Entertainment shared that they are actively collecting evidence and monitoring malicious posts to protect the artist in the future as well.
They also requested fans to report any malicious posts or clear criminal activities related to Kwon Eunbi to our official email account.
