Lee Sung Kyung continues to charm fans across Asia with her Be Closer fan meeting tour. On Sunday, fans in Bangkok were treated to a memorable surprise when actor Kim Minjae, her close friend and Dr. Romantic 3 co-star, joined her on stage.
The event, held as part of Lee’s ongoing fan meeting series on August 20, was filled with excitement from the very beginning.
However, the highlight came when the actress introduced Kim Minjae as her special guest. The audience erupted into cheers as the two actors reunited, sharing hugs and smiles before performing together.

In Dr. Romantic 3, the story centers around a rundown countryside hospital, Doldam Hospital, and its efforts to rebuild as a regional trauma center three years after Season 2.
Lee Sung Kyung returns as Cha Eun Jae, a cardiothoracic surgeon who has matured into a key leadership role at Doldam. Kim Minjae reprises his role as Park Eun Tak, a compassionate nurse. The drama leads Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Sung Kyung, and Kim Min Jae have developed a strong bond and are often seen supporting each other.
The Bangkok fan meeting was part of Lee Sung Kyung’s international Be Closer tour. Kim Min Jae’s participation was not announced in advance, which created an unexpected moment for attendees. Clips from the event circulated on social media, with fans noting the professional chemistry between the two actors.
Meanwhile, Lee Sung-kyung started as a model, competing in the Super Model Contest before debuting as an actress in It’s Okay, That’s Love (2014). She gained recognition with Cheese in the Trap and Doctors, later earning her first lead role in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.
