Back in August 2021, Lucas got caught up in some controversy surrounding his personal life. It all started when a woman wrote an online article revealing that she had dated him.
She shared some details about his past relationship with Lucas and claimed that he covered all the expenses during their time together. She even referred to Lucas as a “flower snake,” which caused quite a stir.
The woman, who claimed to have dated him, also mentioned that Lucas had engaged in straddling and gaslighting behavior, which had a negative impact on his mental health.
In May of last year, after all the controversy surrounding his private life, Lucas made the decision to leave NCT and WayV. He expressed his apologies to his fellow members and hoped that they would remember him as Wong Yuk-hei, not just as Lucas. He also mentioned that he had thought about it for a long time before making this choice, and he believed it was for the best for everyone involved.
His agency, SM Entertainment, confirmed the news and stated that Lucas would be focusing on his individual activities moving forward. About a month after leaving the groups, Lucas opened a fan community, but since then, he hasn’t had any personal activities.
