The 2025 MAMA Awards wrapped up on November 29 after two nights of performances and major wins at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. This year, organizers toned down the flashy elements and canceled the red carpet to honor the victims of a recent local fire.

Even with this somber backdrop, the event carried the theme “Hear My Roar: uh-heung” and delivered two nights of memorable stages and big announcements.

The first night on November 28, hosted by Park Bo Gum, opened with a moment of silence. Once the show began, the mood shifted as artists lit up the stage and the first wave of awards rolled in.

Two of the grand prizes were revealed that night. Rosé and Bruno Mars took home Song of the Year for their hit “APT.”, while ENHYPEN won Fans’ Choice of the Year. ENHYPEN added to their wins with the TELASA Favorite Global Artist award.

IVE had an especially strong night with wins for Favorite Female Group, Favorite Global Performer, and Global Trend Song for “REBEL HEART.” New talent also got its moment, as CORTIS and Hearts2Hearts were named Best New Artists. BOYNEXTDOOR won Favorite Male Group, and Super Junior received the Inspiring Achievement award.

The final night on November 29, hosted by Kim Hye Soo, focused on the last major awards and most-awaited performances of the entire event. The lineup included G-Dragon, CORTIS, ALLDAY PROJECT, aespa, Stray Kids, TXT, RIIZE, and more. ALLDAY PROJECT won the Breakthrough Artist award and tore up the stage with their performance.

Tonight, G-Dragon won Artist of the Year, Best Male Artist, and Best Dance Performance (Male Solo) awards. The 2025 MAMA Awards jury is receiving backlash for not giving the Best Dance Performance award to j-hope.

This chapter also featured the announcements for Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, two of the biggest categories, along with a full set of awards covering vocals, dance, collaboration, OSTs, and music videos.
