The memorial space for ASTRO’s Moonbin, who sadly passed away in April, had to be closed due to protests from fans.
On December 3, they shared on the official fan cafe that, after considering the opinions of Aroha, they made the decision to close the Seonunsa Moonbin Space (memorial space) immediately, starting from 8 PM on 3rd December.
On December 2, they opened up a special space at Seonunsa Temple in Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do. This special space was created to honor Moonbin’s fans.
It’s worth mentioning that there was a previous memorial space at the National Office of the Temple near Namhansanseong Fortress, but the agency recently made the decision to move it.
Fans who heard the previous news expressed some doubts about the relationship between Fantagio and Seonunsa Temple. They requested that the exhibition of Moonbin’s cherished items be stopped there.
According to fans, Fantagio mentioned that they would send Bin’s memorial space deep into the mountains, which is over 4 hours away from Seoul, and display his beloved items from his lifetime. They also mentioned that Fantagio signed a business agreement with Seonunsa Temple in September of this year.
Fantagio recently provided an explanation regarding this situation. They clarified that there is some untrue content being spread on social media. According to Fantagio, they haven’t entered into any agreements or contracts with a shipping company and have no financial interest in it.
As for the decision to move the memorial space from the National Office to Seonunsa Temple, it was made out of concern for the safety of winter visitors and to have a permanent memorial tablet for Moonbin placed there.
They also mentioned that their executives and employees personally went to Seonunsa Temple and spent several days preparing the space with utmost dedication and love for Moonbin.
Fantagio requested that people refrain from distorting and falsely inciting the feelings of their executives and employees towards Moonbin. Additionally, they stated their intention to take strong legal action against the spread of untrue rumors in the future.
