NCT Mark fans will have to wait a bit longer for his solo album.
The 25-year-old K-pop idol’s highly anticipated solo album has been delayed. Originally slated for release in February, the album’s new drop date has been pushed to April 2025.
On December 9, SM Entertainment announced on social media that Mark’s first full-length album has been rescheduled from February to April next year.
According to SM, the delay is to ensure the debut release’s overall perfection. They kindly ask fans for their understanding, given the album’s lengthy preparation time.
The label also revealed that Mark will drop a new single on December 16, ahead of his solo album release.
In May, it was initially announced that the NCT member would be dropping a solo debut album in February. Then, in November, the label confirmed that he would still be releasing his album in Q1 of 2025.
However, the latest announcement has disappointed many fans as they have been waiting for his release since early this year.
Mark debuted as an NCT member in 2016 and has since been part of its subunits NCT 127 and NCT DREAM. He is the fifth NCT member to make a solo debut after Taeyong, Ten, Doyoung, and Jaehyun. He previously released a single titled “200” on May 16 and is now gearing up to drop another single this month. Fans can look forward to his solo full-length album in April 2025.
