Netflix has announced the release date for its upcoming Korean drama You and Everything Else, starring Kim Go Eun (Little Women, Yumi’s Cells) and Park Ji Hyun (Reborn Rich, Love All Play). It is grabbing attention as Kim Go Eun returns to dramas after 3 years; her last appearance was in Little Women in 2022.
On August 12, the streaming giant released a teaser poster and trailer, offering a first glimpse into the emotional journey at the heart of the series.
The drama, You and Everything Else, will premiere globally on September 12, streaming in over 190 countries with subtitles in multiple languages.
Directed by Jo Young Min, known for Do You Like Brahms?, the drama follows the decades-long relationship between Eun Jung (Kim Go Eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun).
The two women share a bond filled with admiration, love, rivalry, and resentment. Their lives remain deeply intertwined from adolescence into their forties.
The newly released teaser poster features the tagline “Between admiration and resentment”, showing the two characters standing apart, framed by blurred images of one another. This visual hints at a bond shaped by years of shared joy, envy, misunderstandings, and unresolved emotions.
In the teaser trailer, the emotional push-and-pull of their relationship is revealed through heated arguments, painful confessions, and flashbacks.
The You and Everything Else trailer opens with Sang Yeon saying, “I hate that you are fine. I want to see you ruined, like me.”
Eun Jung compares her life to her friend’s, “Being around Sang Yeon makes everything around me feel so ordinary, insignificant, even,” while Sang Yeon admits, “That’s when I sensed I could never beat her.”
“Even if it’s just once, I wish I could truly understand how Sang Yeon feels,” Eun Jung added. The trailer concludes with Sang Yeon telling her to “not meet again” and Eun saying, “You chose your own loneliness.”
Speaking about the drama, director Jo Young Min described the central theme as “companionship.”
He explained,
As you follow the lives of Eun Jung and Sang Yeon, you may encounter your past self, be reminded of a friend, or find connections to your own life or the lives around you. I think it might lead you to understand someone, forgive them, or even discover more about yourself.
Mark your calendar as You and Everything Else premieres Friday, September 12, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.
