ONF has parted ways with WM Entertainment after eight years, but the group will continue promoting together under the same name. The group joins USPEER and B1A4 who recently left the label.
On January 27, WM Entertainment announced through its social media platforms that ONF and the company will terminate their exclusive contracts on January 29. The agency explained that the decision was made after a “long period of careful and repeated discussions” with the members.
With this, ONF concluded an eight-year partnership with WM Entertainment, which began before their debut. Despite the contract termination, both sides emphasized that the group is not disbanding. The label added, “The six members will be able to continue their group activities under the name ONF.”
WM Entertainment expressed sincere support for the members’ future, stating, “Accordingly, even after the contract ends, the company will continue to provide the necessary cooperation and support for ONF’s activities.” The agency also shared that they will always watch over the members’ journey with warm encouragement.
ONF debuted in August 2017 with their first EP, ON/OFF, and gained fame through songs such as “I Will Love You,” “Beautiful Beautiful,” and “Why.”
In early 2025, the group released their second full-length album, ONF: My Identity with the title track, “The Stranger.” In February 2025, the song earned ONF their first-ever win on a terrestrial music show, KBS2TV’s Music Bank, nearly eight years after their debut.
In addition, they dropped their 8th-anniversary special single, Summer Light, last July, followed by a mini-album, Unbroken, in November.
Meanwhile, details about their next steps, including whether they will sign with a new agency or operate independently, have not yet been revealed. Both members and WM Entertainment have reassured FUSE that ONF’s group activities will continue without interruption.
