It is no secret by now that Byeon Woo Seok is a huge fan of RIIZE’s Anton and has expressed his love for him on numerous occasions.
This time, the 20-year-old K-pop idol is appreciating the Lovely Runner actor for his support and kind words.
On June 17, K-pop group RIIZE hosted a press premiere at the Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Yongsan, Seoul, to celebrate the launch of their debut mini-album RIIZING.
The event was attended by six members; Anton, Wonbin, Eunseok, Shotaro, Sohee and Sungchan.
At the press conference, Anton specifically mentioned Byun Woo Seok, who picked him as his favorite. He shared, “I have met him at the awards ceremony, and I am grateful to him for always saying only kind words wherever he goes.”
He revealed watching Lovely Runner and found the swimming scenes in the drama relatable. Byeon Woo Seok played a teenage swim star and a K-pop idol in Lovely Runner, two of the things that Anton could relate to.
Anton’s dream was to become a professional swimmer, which he gave up on to become a K-pop idol.
On the work front, Byeon Woo Seok is currently occupied with an Asia tour after Lovely Runner ended. On the other hand, RIIZE released their debut mini-album, RIIZING, on June 17.
