South Korean actor Shim Hyung-tak and his Japanese wife, Hirai Saya, have announced that they are expecting their first child together!
The happy couple, who tied the knot just over a year ago, are thrilled to be starting a family.
According to a report by News 1 on July 12, Hirai Saya is quite excited about the new addition to the family. She is already over 10 weeks into her pregnancy, with an expected delivery date slated for late January next year.
Shim Hyung Tak and Saya revealed the good news just a year after tying the knot. The couple dated for four years before registering their marriage on June 5, 2023, and holding a wedding ceremony the following month.
Their marriage made headlines due to their significant age gap – Saya, born in 1996, is 18 years younger than Shim Hyung-tak, born in 1978.
In addition, Saya became a hot topic due to her striking resemblance to BTS member Jungkook. Even Jungkook mentioned her on livestream saying that they do look alike.
