ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon delivered a standout performance at the 2023 K Global Heart Dream Awards, held on August 10, 2023, at the KSPO Dome in Seoul.
The awards ceremony featured a strong lineup, including groups like Stray Kids, ATEEZ, ITZY, THE BOYZ, STAYC, and NCT’s Taeyong, making it one of the major K-pop events of the year.
Sunghoon, a former professional figure skater, brought a strong presence to the stage. Known for his graceful movement and visuals, he stood out during ENHYPEN’s performance of a medley featuring their hit “Bite Me.”
His black stage outfit complemented the group’s darker, performance-driven concept. Fans on social media praised his dance moves and how good he looked. Clips from the event circulated widely and Sunghoon started trending on Twitter.
By the end of the night, ENHYPEN had won two awards: the Bonsang (Main Prize) and Best Performance Award.
Sunghoon’s background adds context to his poise on stage. Born December 8, 2002, in Suwon, he was a competitive figure skater before transitioning to K‑pop. He trained professionally until 2020 and earned medals at the Asian Figure Skating Trophy and Lombardia Trophy.
Later, he switched careers and debuted with ENHYPEN in November 2020 under BELIFT LAB through I-LAND, a music survival show.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN dropped their fourth album, Dark Blood, in May, which sold 1.3 million copies in the first week. Additionally, they launched their second world tour, FATE, in Seoul in late July.
Next month, they will kick off the Japan leg of the world tour with shows in Osaka (September 2-3) and Tokyo (September 13-14). In October, they will hold shows in LA, Glendale, Houston, Dallas, Newark, and More.
