Since it started in 1989, CREA has been a magazine that focuses on one theme and is aimed at curious women. This spring, the magazine has a special section called “I have to go to Taiwan” that covers over 90 pages.
It’s the first time in four years that Taiwan has been extensively featured, and it’s exciting because it’s the second most popular overseas travel destination after South Korea.
The cover and opening feature of the CREA Spring 2024 issue showcases Nicholas, a Taiwanese member of the global group &TEAM. He made his debut as the first artist from HYBE LABELS JAPAN, which is a subsidiary of HYBE that includes BTS and SEVENTEEN.
Nicholas, who is 21 years old, is returning to his hometown for the first time in three years and is exploring different parts of Taiwan.
Hsinchu, a city on the outskirts of Taipei, is often called Taiwan’s Silicon Valley because of its thriving tech industry. Interestingly, it still maintains a charming old townscape.
The Ningxia Night Market in Taipei is a favorite among the locals, known for its delicious street food and lively atmosphere. There’s also the famous Bangyo Station Underground Passage 507, where Nicholas himself used to perform street dances before he moved to South Korea at the age of 17.
When asked what he loves the most about Taiwan, Nicholas said, “I think the most attractive thing about Taiwan is the people. Everyone is kind and free-spirited. They accept different cultures. I am who I am today because I grew up in such an environment.”
The CREA Spring 2024 issue will be out on March 7th.
