JYP Entertainment has finally broken its silence on the highly publicized departure of KG. In a long-awaited official statement, the agency has shed light on the circumstances surrounding her exit.
On December 9, JYP Entertainment responded to the claims made by Kiera Grace Madder through a bombshell Instagram post. The label stated, “We would like to address the recent lawsuit filed by Kiera Grace Madder (hereafter referred to as “KG”) and her public statements on social media.
In May of this year, KG left the group residence and initiated discussions through her legal representatives. In response, we temporarily suspended VCHA’s planned activities and engaged in extensive discussions with KG’s representatives to explore potential resolutions. However, recently we have not received any response from KG’s representatives, leaving our legal representatives awaiting further communication.”
JYPE also broke silence on the lawsuit filed by the 17-year-old K-pop star, “We deeply regret KG’s decision to file a lawsuit and make unilateral public statements containing false and exaggerated claims. This action has caused significant harm to the other members of VCHA and JYP USA who have been working diligently on their upcoming album and projects for early 2025.”
They concluded, “JYP USA will take all necessary measures to ensure that neither the other members of VCHA nor JYP USA suffer further harm as a result of this matter.”
On Sunday, December 8, an Instagram post shared by KG spread like wildfire on social media. She claimed suffering abuse and neglect from certain staff members. KG exposed a disturbing incident involving a VCHA member who allegedly attempted to take their own life due to an eating disorder.
